Hawk-Aire has scheduled a Spring Work Weekend on April 14-15, 2018 with a primary focus on trees. There are a number of dead and dying trees around the Brodhead Airport property as well as several new trees that need to be planted.
We are need of volunteers willing to help with trimming and cutting down trees, brush chipping, stump removal and new tree planting. Those with their own chainsaws and proper safety equipment are especially needed.
We will have an 85hp 12″ brush chipper on site for the weekend and also a stump grinder for Saturday. Volunteers will work in groups on specific areas. The Chapter 431 membership will be tapped for help also.
Please e-mail Pat Weeden at pweeden@kelchmuseum.org if you are able to help at any time over the weekend of April 14-15. We would like to get a head count for better planning. Some folks will probably get started on Friday, April 13, so if you can help then, please advise.
Thanks much.
